In response to the Writer's Island prompt on April 17 2008.
Waiting all these years
For this moment to realize
Eyes glistened with tears of triumph
Thinking that the battle has been finally won
There is peace in heart
And tranquility prevails for most part
The moment leaves sooner that it arrives
When the reality descends and makes the life
The mind is in a flux again
Trying to figure out which is more difficult
Living a life without purpose
Or knowing the purpose and surviving the life without it

Beautiful words- "Living the life without a purpose or knowing the purpose and surviving life without it". It's really a tough one.
I guess whatever we do, we always have to let go of something. Even when living life with a purpose. Because truly speaking we cannot have only one purpose in life. And the choices in life are always tough.
It is basically about choosing which struggle you want in your life. That is the only choice life gives us.
i really likethe way you've done this prompt...
**Living a life without purpose
Or knowing the purpose and surviving the life without it***so we come to te crossroads and choose we must..
Beautifully written - but thats why it is life right...if there was no flux - we would be robots...
Beautiful!
I am at crossroads right at this moment and the question so neatly summarizes all that is going on in my mind...
Very well written....
Beautifully said!
I'm sorry I didn't get by sooner - one of THOSE weeks! ;)
Can't wait to see what you come up with for this week! :D
Arc: You are right in saying that there can't be only one purpose in life. But for a short time, it does feel like that.
Suma: Yup, choices make life.
Ceedy: You are right...The only thing differentiating us from robots is our thoughts and mind.
Kavitha:Hopefully you are abel to make a good, sound choice. Good luck.
